DESCRIPTION: First I'd like to say that I've had MANY 'paranormal experiences/happenings' and I do not need or want them investigated. This will be the first of many posts on here for me. I'll start with my earliest experience that I fully remember and work my way up to the most recent. HERE GOES: When I was 8, I woke up late one night. I was sleeping on the top bunk of a bunkbed at my cousins house. I sat up in the top bunk and looked to my left at the bedroom doorway. There was a figure of a girl standing there, leaning her right shoulder on the doorway. The house was pitch black, but the figure of the girl was even blacker than the black in the house. At first I thought it was my younger cousin, but just as I was about to ask her what she was doing up, I realized somethign wasn't right. This thing was just standing there, staring at me and she was more my height than my cousins (who was about 6 inches shorter than me). I freaked out and couldn't talk, yell, or even whisper. I layed flat on my back quickly and pulled the covers over my head and stayed under them, sweating, until morning because I was too scared to sleep.

DESCRIPTION: NEWS RELEASE NEW READING OF MYSTERIOUS OAK ISLAND INSCRIPTION Theory points to possible connection with nearby Birch Island FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE HALIFAX, Nova Scotia: Friday, July 14th, 2006 - - For the past two centuries, the tunnels of Nova Scotia’s Oak Island have piqued the imagination of historians and treasure hunters alike. Now, a new theory by First Nations researcher Keith Ranville may add fresh speculation to the mystery. Based on a unique reading of an inscription once found in the “Money Pit,” Mr. Ranville believes that the answer to the riddle may be found on nearby Birch Island. Oak Island, located on the scenic Mahone Bay about an hour’s drive south of the provincial capital of Halifax, has been associated with buried treasure since the late 18th century. Local settlers reportedly found a ship’s tackle block hanging from a tree branch, overhanging a large depression in the ground. Early efforts to dig down failed when the diggers encountered layers of timber every 10 feet. In the ensuing generations, several organized excavation attempts have drilled down nearly 200 feet, en route encountering some artifacts within the staggered layers of logs, clay, putty, charcoal, flagstones and most perplexingly, coconut husks. Among the scores of enthusiastic treasure hunters was a young Franklin Roosevelt, one of the investors in a 1909 excavation attempt. During the earlier diggings of 1800’s, the tunnel had become flooded by seawater – which many believed was the result booby trap being sprung – thus complicating further digging since then. A drilling effort in the mid 1800’s was said to have uncovered fragments of a gold chain. In 1971, a camera was lowered into the pit and reportedly captured images of wooden chests and human remains. One of the most fascinating artifacts from the pit was said to be a flat stone recovered at the 90 foot depth, carrying a mysterious inscription. A fragment of stone with similar symbols was found nearby in Smith’s Cove in the 1930’s. The stone tablet itself has gone missing, but a record of its symbols remains. Until now, the consensus is that the symbols are a code translated as “forty feet below two million pounds are buried.” However, Keith Ranville’s theory offers a different interpretation as to the stone’s symbols, which could lead to a new explanation of the Oak Island mystery. “I believe these symbols have been incorrectly assumed to stand for something else. In the First Nations tradition that I’m a part of, we believe symbols should simply be looked at in and of themselves, rather than thinking of them as codes that have to be cracked,” Mr. Ranville explained. “In the pictograms of Cree Salavics, for example, the images are meant to be descriptive, not abstract.” Using this approach, Mr. Ranville examined the Oak Island symbols and found what may be a set of instructions about a tunnel system involving both Oak Island and nearby Birch Island. For example, the stone inscription begins with a triangle symbol, which is repeated throughout. Mr. Ranville believes that this represents nearby Birch Island, which has a distinctly triangular clearing on its north shore. Likewise, a symbol showing a circle divided into two hemispheres can be thought of as representing north/south directional markers. A series of dots in singles, pairs and triplets may be quantitative symbols. Examining all the symbols in this way, Mr. Ranville believes that the symbols on the Money Pit’s stone tablet are actually technical instructions describing the location and layout of a possible underground network involving both Oak Island and Birch Island. “There was a fragment of another stone tablet that was found on Oak Island’s Smith Cove in the 1930’s,” Mr. Ranville explained. “It too has these types of symbols, but one in particular appears to be a Greek symbol designating ‘underwater door’. In conjunction with the other symbols, I believe this points to underwater doors and additional shafts on Birch Island itself.” Smith’s Cove is on the part of Oak Island that is closest to Birch Island, and is said to have yielded several artifacts itself over the years. “Based on the inscribed symbols, I think we should be looking at Oak Island and Birch Island together in order to solve the mystery. If Birch Island proves to have underwater doors and tunnels around its triangular clearing, then it would be a huge step forward in our understanding of what Oak Island is all about.” There have been many, occasionally bizarre, theories as to what the Oak Island tunnels may contain: a Masonic vault containing the Holy Grail, Viking or Pirate booty, Inca treasure, the French Royal Crown Jewels, payroll for colonial British soldiers or even the secret writings of Francis Bacon. Mr. Ranville prefers not to speculate. “Those are interesting and sometimes funny theories, but I’d rather just look at the evidence that we do have, and go from there.” Mr. Ranville is a self-taught researcher born in Manitoba. While living in Vancouver, he became acquainted with the Oak Island mystery and began studying it. DESCRIPTION: I've experienced several paranormal occurances every since I was 8 years old. My parents house, which was my grandmothers before she died, is "haunted" but nothing that has ever scared me or made ne afriad to stay alone or felt 'evil'. Maybe b/c I feel that it is family or whatever. But thats not what I'm going to talk about. Last year on 10-09 my boyfriend passed away. I mention it b/c I think that it might explain some of the stuff. And I moved into my apartment last november. I got my dog in march of this year. About four months ago, I started hearing the stair creaking like someone coming up them, never heard anyone going down. So I just kinda figured my neighbor was having someone come up all hours of the night, didn't pay to much attention to the steps. Then about 2 months ago, my door kept getting knocked on. By the time I would get out of bed that would stop, then when I would get about halfway down the hall it would start again. I just figured it was some guys below me that knew I lived up there by myself nine times out of ten my daughter stays with my mom. And they had seen me out walking Pokey earlier. So I stood by the door with my hand on the knob to pull it open and be like what the hell leave me alone halfway into the knock I swing it open and there is no one there. My dog doesn't bark or nothing unless someone or soemthing is there that night he was barking and growling all night long at my door. So I took him out with me and there was no way anyone could have hidden. There was nothing there at my door to cause the knocking, but yet it was there. The past two weeks it has been more active like two and three times a night the stairs go crazy always coming up never going down, knocking on my door *i finally mentioned that to my mom, and she said don't answer it b/c it is a bad sign, or it could be someone, and no one would have any good news or anything bwteen midnight and 4 am. She also suggested that I ask Carylon, my neighbor if she is having vistors. I figured carylon would think I was crazy but it got to the point that last week, I was sleeping like 2 hours a night. So I asked her, and she was like Thank God I was thinking I was going crazy. So Friday night after I got off work I bought a camera and digital thermomter. And sit up "camp" on my front porch. And waited sure enough at 12:20 the steps begain, they didn't come all the way up they stopped half way..I took several pictures, and the tempturate 1/2 down the stairs would drop by about 5 degrees. I should have asked it questions but I was so shocked by what was really happening in front of me I couldn't. I put down sea salt in front of our doors, to ward off evil. That apparently made it mad b/c saturday night I went to bed and my music boxes started going off, without being wound. Pokey backed me into a wall and started at the front door growling. I was like Kelly *that was my bf's name* if this is you please stop I'm tired and I want to go to sleep. Then my apartment sudenlly felt awful, never had a feeling like this. And it seemed like someone was knocking on the walls and banging. I was going to run next door but I touched my door knob and it felt like ice, my apartment normally stays 70 degrees. This lasted about 3 hours. My phone wasn't working, I couldn't leave. I had never been scared or anything until that night.. I can't help but wonder if Kelly isn't mad b/c I'm wanting to start dating again, or if he isn't trying to tell me something, but I had another freaky expeirence, that I'll post about later, since I have to go to work. But if anyone could help me please do so. My mom said that after the 9th maybe it will back off but I'm not even staying at home since that night, I don't want to have to leave my apartment

DESCRIPTION: I took a few friends on a picture takeing hunt to the old Philadelphia State hospital one day. The palce has been closed for years and locked up aan guarded tight. I knew a few ways to get in and me and my two friends got in with ease. I guess we spent about two hours or so there when we decided we were starting to press our luck and leave. Now one of the buildings we went in was an old auitorium, theater style seats and stage. I felt something odd about the place the whole time we were there. Any way we left and I took them all home. Later that night I went back on my own. I parked my car around 11:30pm and walked the ten minute walk through the old grounds to the auditorium building. I walked in and sat right in the middel row of seats. almost immediatly I felt like I was beig watched from beind me. I turned and all I saw was an opening into the rest of the building, but this opnening was pitch black and it seemed to be getting blacker by the second. The more I stared at it the blacker it got and the harder it was for me to pull away from it. Finally I got myself up and ran out and back to my car. Now here is the odd part, I parked my car at 11:30, it was a ten minute walk to the building, I felt like I was in there for mabey another ten minutes, and the run back to my car took about five. All and all less then thirty minutes should of passed. When I started my car the clock read 2:15am! Me watch read the same and the local radio news channel was saying the same thing. So to me less then thirty minutes had gone by, but in reality almost three hours had passed. I still dont know what happend in that missing time period, and I dont know if I want to. I have been back there during the day, but never alone at night again.

DESCRIPTION: I was raised on a farm along the Platte River near a spot called Witchy Island since the Pawnee Indians days. The odd occurences, energies, wierd sightings, and Black Shadow people/things have always been as long as I remember. I am 50.I have had odd abilities to see things before they happen since I was a child. I also can tell whenever there is somthing strange about. there is a source of energy/power all over our land, Sometimes its shadow things that make themselves known if ignored. Now My son now 30, and living on our farm, has experienced many of the same things I have. He has differing experiences but just as strong. Now my 6 year old Daughter is showing her own odd abilities to see and be aware of things most people cannot/willnot see. She can see orbs and associates colors to them. When I can see them they are transparent, but usually I only feel them in the area. We can get them on digital camera so we are not nuts! There are things with intelligence around there too and they are aware of us and that we are aware of them. I do not belive they are goasts or human spirits at all. I have experienced many of those and know the difference. These attach themselves to me and my son occasinally and seem to feed off our thoughts or emotions and can literally jump into you and look out though your eyes so to speak. It makes your hair crawl and your head feel as a leg does when its asleep. You can either force them out by will and ordering them out, or by trying to suck them in they leave fast and seem scarred if you do that. Also you get a tunnel vision when they do it. I was rather upset the last time it happened while walking down a stairs and almost lost my balance. I was very pissed off and that along with the swearing at it seemed to shock it and although it seems to hang around me at the farm now like a dog at your feet, it has not tried to get out of line since. The scarry part of all this is that along with these things are much stronger things that mostly stay in the backround and only occasionally show themselves. Between the two or mabey more types something is protecting the place and several people have fled never to return. Only our family seems to be safe. Only those with ill intent seem to be targeted. But both my son and I msut be carfull not to get angry especially when we are in the same area. Then all hell breaks lose. Things move fly out of cubbards light bulbs blow out and more. We even suspect that these things take direction from our strongest feelings and when we are upset with other people the things can cause effects on them even at a distance totally on their own accord. One time last summer my son was fishing are our pond by the river. A freind of his and I drove down to see how he was doing at dusk. When we got there he was on the opposite side of the pond and we both started to walk around the lake. I was half way around when I noticed the freind not following any more. He had stopped and was frozen looking twoard where my son was across the lake. I continued around and as I came through the trees on the opposite side I saw what I thought was my son ahead of me up on the bank standing in front of a tree. As I approached within ten yards I saw it was really a shadow of a person from the waist up head and shouldrs plain as ever. The lower half was blurred out but the shadow was blacker than the surrounding shadow and dark spots even between the leaves of the tree. I kept walking toward it and said okay I see you. Then the shadow started vibrating and shot around the tree in a blurred zig zag. It arced around the tree as a shadow would. My son had be bothered with a wired buzzing around him that night but had not seen anything. I did not see any more that night. The Friend was standing by my locked truck when I got back. He was shaking like a leaf. He had seen the shadow staying behind my son as we were walking and saw it was not his. Italways moved to be behind him so he could not see it, even to cross his own shadows from the two lanterns either side of him. The the freind saw it shoot up the bank and to the tree where I encountered it. I think he was as freaked out by the fact that he heard me speaking to it as by the fact that he saw it. I do not know if he totally believes me that I told him what I really said for some reason, but he was totally freaked out for some time. Well that is a small example of one of the things that happen. Ther have been things like a black oily looking goo that totally covered a tree but sucked back down into the ground before we could get close enough to see what it really was. The tree died soon after. I remeber seeing a Black and yelloe snake with my uncle as a ten year old as we drove down to the river. It is impossible that it could have been a snake because it was long enough to croos the gravel road and the irrigation road and have both ends in corn fields at the same time. That would be at least30 ft plus and as big or bigger than a coffee can. We both saw it and when we stopped sure enough there was a trail across the road grooved out the right size. My uncle still remembers it and he is now in his eighties altough he has always maintained that it could not have been what we both saw. I could go on and on but have told enough to let people know that there are those out there that deal with things most people cannot reason with existing in thier world view. I want no investigations, no inquiries, not to be know by name or exact location. I am sure you can see why.

DESCRIPTION: My dad was jogging some hundred feet away around a track and i was playing on the playground. i went down the slide that was there and stoped at the bottom. it was at night and it was relativly warm that night too. well when i was at the bottom ( i couldn't have been there for more than a minute or two) i heard my name in a real low pitch moan. since i was the only one around there and my dad too far to call my name like that for me to hear it, i got up and ran my scared little ass until i got to my dad. when i got to him i asked him if he had indeed called my name. he said that he hadn't. i did not go back to the playground for the rest of the night.

DESCRIPTION: I lost a dear friend this past week. I had known him for several years. He had had a heart attack that took his life at a very early age sadly leaving behind a wonderfull family, 3 girls and a boy. Any how during his calling hours the lights in the place kept flikering,I was sitting with friends while this was happening. My friend said that it was one of the deceased's antics. He used to walk in to a room, if the lights were on he'd shut them off, or flick then on and off:) So this is my way of thinking that he was there and laughing at us all for crying for him, he wanted to let us know that he in fact that he is stiil around, maybe not in physical form, but in spirit. I miss you dear friend.....

DESCRIPTION: Since young,I am inclined to negativities. I love indulging in sad music, I am very fond of spirits, etc. (1) I felt depressed, isolated and went sleeping. About 1am (take note, the time!), I dreamt of the deepest fear from the bottom of my heart, somewhat like in the middle of a skeleton castle. I didn't know how long I dreamt about that. Suddenly, fear subsided, my mind went crystal clear, clearer then when I am wide awake. I was travelling and saw a long white houses with spiral staircase. Suddenly I was at a blue-wall room and saw a woman walking into a lighted room. I wanted to wake up but I felt my body doesn't belong to me. Then I felt a strange thrill at my backbone and I woke up.I realized the blue-walled room was my kitchen and the lighted room was my toilet and the woman was my mum. I didn't recognised any of those things when I 'saw' them just now!!This was the first time. I felt the 'fear' coming serveral other times but I managed to spring up from the bed before I 'travel', it's always 1am on the clock. It's too scary.I still don't know what the long white house is.2)I heard voices. When I am in an enclosed room with no windows and little ventilations and when my mind is clear of all thoughts. I am always scared. I saw only 6 postings. All of them sound like movie scripts.

DESCRIPTION: Something happens every time it gets quiet at my house, at night with all the lights out. Its become a little game with my family, we all sit quiet in the living room waiting. We then get a freezing chill rush up our spines that make us tingle all over. A few footsteps stomp across above in our attic, creeking floor boards can be heard in the kitchen. Soon all go's quiet again, out of the corner of the living room stnads a little girl, she then drifts across the room to stand in front of us with her back turned. She begins to weep...then a noise comes from up above and she vanishes. All is quiet again....we dont no why this happens but i always feel that little girls presence in my house along with a very big scary feeling one! we've had paranormalists come over but they can never seem to get rid of these forces, theres some undone mystery in this house and really no telling what can be done. Im no longer scared but i always get the feeling that im never truely alone even when No body is in the house...or so i think

LOCATION: murrieta Laurel cemetary
CAMP or GUIDE NAME: late summer 2004
DESCRIPTION OF TRIP: My friends and I always visit the cemetary becasue it is a beautiful place and we love it. on thsi night, the cemetary seemed very active. this cemetary has been here since the early 1800's some of the graves are so old that you cant even read the headstones. There is an old obleysk in the middle of the oldest grave patch of the cemetary. it seemed to draw us into it. Uncontrolabel urge was lurign us to the obelysk and we dotn know why. I walked up to it and touchedit and to my great surrize, i looked around and saw peopel every where just strolling through the cemetary by their graves. It was as if they couldnt see us at all and they were just content going about their busines. i let go of it and didnt see anybody, i touched it again and tere they were. there were no bad vibes at all so we just stayed there and watched the stars. I dotn know the significance of this obelysk grave stone, but i do know that it sends off a good feeling, not a frightening one. No need to be afraid

DESCRIPTION OF TRIP: Every time a death occurs in our family or somebody we know, the hallway seems to be active. soemtimes There is a figure of a small girl at the end of the hallway when this happens. When one of us tries to turn the hallway light on( we have two switches, on at each end of the hallway) it will flicker off. when we try it again she just turns it back off. this little game goes on for about a minute or so before the hallway light just switches on and the house becomes dead silent. She is warning us. every tiem after that, the phonw rings with the bad news. There is also at times a beautiful voice singing or sobbing, but i never knwo where to find the source. the singing voice is a warnign ive found for soemthing bad about to happen and the sobbing happens when there is danger or death...... Maybe im just morein tuned withthis world or maybe im just out of my mind, but it does happen every time without fail.

DESCRIPTION OF TRIP: I talked my friend into walking in the grave yard with me at night he was scared shitless, but i was having a blast because i could feel their souls rising and i felt great anyways we were walking and we slowed down to read some of the tomb stones and i saw a man crawling on the ground mumbling something but the strange thing was that when he mumbled his voice echoed like no other though the vally and that actully scared my friend and me shitless so we ran... and i have never ran that fast or jumped over a 6ft. fence the way i did and i NEVER went back. but now im thinking i kinda wanna go back cuz i love to be scared!!!
